Special Presentation: The Prosecution of Judge Waite: A Move to Amend

Fri Sept 28 @7pm

Come and watch an exciting live dramatic reading written by James Allison, Professor Emeritus, Indiana University at Bloomington, and is supported by our local Move to Amend organization which advocates for the elimination of corporate personhood.  This remarkable reading explores the legal origins of the doctrine of corporate personhood.

Derived from an 1886 Supreme Court Case, “Santa Clara vs. Southern Pacific Railroad”, this historic case gave corporations 14th Amendment rights. All subsequent decisions granting additional rights derive from this 1886 case. Come to the live and provocative dramatic reading to learn how this came about.

For anyone interested in the origins of Corporate Personhood or Citizens United, “The Prosecution of Judge Waite” is a “must see” presentation!

The location for this event is the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 Weisheimer Street, Columbus Ohio.
