Up Next: Economics of Happiness…

This award winning documentary about the ‘localization’ movement as a viable alternative to economic globalization will be screened Wednesday, August 8th at the McConnell Arts Center in Worthington. This is a very special event, NOT TO BE MISSED, even if you have already seen the film.  Carol Fisher and her team have organized an awesome experience that includes a live, interactive Skype session after the film with the director Helena Norberg-Hodge from her home in Australia.

In addition to the film, there will be representatives from the SOLE/Think Columbus First coalition available to discuss how to get involved in local sustainability initiatives. A literature packet and free copies of Yes! magazine will be distributed.  That’s not all – to showcase the local economy, local businesses are donating 15+ products for a raffle!  Examples include La Chatelaine, Worthington Inn, Lennonheads Salon, Tio’s Sweets, Peacock on the Lane, Candle Lab, High St. Florist, Ace Hardware, Denig’s Jewelers,  Primo Pizza, Salon Demir, Wacked Salon, Graeters, and PC Guys! Admission is only $5 and there will be FREE popcorn thanks to another business donor.  Stay tuned for more details but mark your calendar now! I hear there may even be a silent auction.

  1. I entered one of your $2 bills on WheresGeorge.com

I found it in Centerville, OH. So it wasn’t spend locally.

    • Hi, Ryan. Thanks for taking the time to enter it. Finding it in Centerville is better than in California or Taiwan.
      Thanks,
      Mayda
