Local First of Grand Rapids hosted the 2012 BALLE Business Conference, which started last Tuesday with tours of West Michigan businesses known for using sustainable methods, as well as members of the furniture industry.

West Michigan was chosen to host the conference because of it’s reputation for having both green businesses and a strong committment to supporting locally owned companies, something we also believe in.
The five day BALLE conference included dozens of seminars, guest speakers and breakout sessions. It was described as a crash course on how to rebuild your community and business.
This was the first time that this conference was held in the Mid-West.
